Itinerary

DAY 2 : High line park, Chelsea Market, Soho, Color Factory

DAY 3 : Pick a bagel, art museum, Peter Luger’s Steakhouse, flea market under Manhattan bridge, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Frozen on Broadway, Juniors Cheesecake & more shopping in NYC

DAY 4 : Donuts, Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho, The Office set, shopping, grab bags & leave NYC

I highly recommend visiting NYC in any season especially in the summer! If you live in the south, then you’ll be used to the humid weather in the city! Summer is my favorite because you don’t have to layer up & you can watch yankees baseball!

We planned this trip Labor Day weekend, Friday - Monday & surprisingly the city was super bare on the weekend! Score!

FRIDAY

Friday morning we started off with a direct 1½ hour flight to LGA! We arrived in the city around 7am! We got off the plane & took an Uber to the nearest subway station 74th & Roosevelt Ave.

We went to our hotel Four Points by Sheraton & asked for an early check in. We dropped off our bags & hit the city! We were in Time Square by 9:30 am & started shopping!

Shopping then Central Park!

Stopped at The Ballfields Cafe in the park and it was a super cute place to eat outside in the park!

We walked around the park a ton! But made our way back to the hotel to change and rest & get ready to see a yankees game!!

Wow so stinking fun to watch the game with so many die hard fans!

The Yankees lost but dang the game was SO FUN!

SATURDAY

Started Saturday off getting donuts in Chelsea at The Donut Pub, very yummy!

Walked around Chelsea market & I never realized how many cool shops there were!! We stumbled upon a super cool necklace shop! You picked your charm and wire and the attendant made it for you, all for under $20!

We walked to the high line & it was so fun!

After this we walked to Soho!!! Dang, a super long walk! But we took some detours along the way seeing Washington Square Park & stopped at a few goodwills.

Got to Soho & found even more great thrift shops! We did lots of shopping, such a cute place to walk around!

We started walking just to see some sites in the city & we randomly came across a famous apartment! Anyone watch friends?

More cool sites

We stopped for dinner at Shake Shack, my fav!

& then drinks at The Blue Haven to watch my alma mater play football! (I went to liberty and the bar was super kind to put them up on the screen for us when there were other big teams playing!)

After drinks & football … COLOR FACTORY! So many fun rooms to take pictures in!

SUNDAY

Started off with breakfast at Pick a Bagel! Hands down the best dang bagel I’ve ever had!

Toured the Museum of Arts and Design. My cousin works here & showed us all the cool pieces she worked on & is currently working on.

Stopped at Columbus Square to enjoy the city & talk.

Headed our way to Peter Luger’s Steakhouse for lunch! We got there a little before they opened for lunch & had to wait about 45 minutes to sit down. I totally forgot to make a reservation, so if you go, make sure book a reservation.

They had great steak with a nice sear to it! They don’t take credit cards, only cash and debit FYI! :)

After steak we Ubered to a flea market that was happening directly under the Manhattan Bridge! Super fun & cool! We got donuts from Dough & they clearly were so dang good!!! There were also tons of cool vendors and food!

We walked down to the Brooklyn Bridge Park & it was so pretty! A great view of the city! There were so many places to sit, eat and hang out. We honestly sat there for an hour enjoying the scenery.

FROZEN ON BROADWAY!!!! Wow, wow so good! The lights & props were just amazing, I was blown away!

After watching Frozen, we stopped for cheesecake at Juniors!

And then shopping in Times Square at 10 o’clock!

MONDAY

Sadly our last day in the city! We checked out of our room but asked the hotel if they could hold our bags for us. They were super sweet and said yes!

We stopped to get donuts again at Dough!

Made our way to Chinatown, then Little Italy!

We stopped at a great pizza by the slice restaurant for lunch. There are many different pizza places on every corner.

Walked through Soho and did some more shopping!

Took the subway to the NBC Store to see The Office set up! It was super cool! & you could actually get your picture taken at the desk!

After this we walked a ton! We went from the NBC store all the way to the OG Macy’s on 34th street!

This area was super cute with lots of shopping and great outdoor hangout spots!

Around 5pm we made our way back to the hotel to get our bags. Took the subway to 74th Street & Roosevelt & then ubered the rest to LGA!

We had such a great time in NYC & I can’t wait to go back!!
